The day, water, sun, moon, night - I do not have to purchase these things with money. - Plautus

The moment when dusk hides,

The moment when the light vanishes,

The moment when the fire,

Has been extinguished.

The time when all beauty is hidden,

And beauty is displayed,

The moment when exhaustion encompasses,

And the light is extinguished.

The moment when the work has been completed,

Yet is still there,

The moment when morning seems to be gone,

The moment when the moon is out.

O that moment, when the moon is out,

And the stars are laid a new,

And eyelids are like covers,

And dreams spring anew.
